2020.09.24 03:29 Nugget93 27 [M4F] Lonely sleep deprived shift worker, health worker and nursing student looking for cute girl for long term relationship, travel companion, midnight snack runs and cuddle nap dates.

What I'm looking for:
To put it simply I am essentially looking for a genuine long-term relationship and emotional connection. Not interested in hook ups or one-night stands.
Appearance:
Let’s be real at the end of the day appearance is important so I might as well be honest here. I’m only 5’5 tall (165cm) and 65kg (fit build). I was born and raised in Australia but off Vietnamese descent. The BEST pay I way can describe myself is essentially the shorter version of Jacky Chan who doesn’t know martial arts. I’m not even kidding, a lot of my patients tell me that. I don’t care about height either, you could be small and petite or 6-foot-tall in heels and still would not care. We are all human after all.
Personality:
I’m very approachable and have the mentally of an over exited puppy who wants to get along with everyone. I also walk and talk at about a million miles an hour and like to think myself as a kind, gentle, helpful and compassionate person. I mean I’m not afraid to say I love cute fluffy animals or babies.
Career:
I am currently working in NSW health as a ward orderly (bed pushepatient lifteerrand boy) and an Assistant in Nursing. I am also in my third and final year of my nursing degree and want to work with sick babies and children in my future career. As I mentioned before I love babies and not afraid to admit that I want to cuddle and bottle feed infants all day.
Future:
Well given houses are so expensive in this city its either both of us knuckle down to afford one because I sure as hell can’t do it on my own. Or move to another state and start a new life. Or travel the world and live a nomadic life (once this shit over that is). Or a mix of everything.
Hobbies:
When I’m not studying or working, I like to go the gym and do some strength training. Before COVID I really loved ‘adventure travel’ (its marketing term for active travelling) and trekking in remote places on the other side of the world. However, with the current travel bans I doubt I will be ding that anytime soon. Once its all over I am looking for travel companion. I remember one night I had a hotel room to myself in Tanzania and it was raining outside. While I was alone lying in the king-sized bed I thought ‘I wish I could share this with someone’.
What’s in it for you?
I will support you in your goals no matter what it is. I will be your rock in your worst moments, be emotionally open and will listen to your problems without judgement. And finally free Vietnamese food!
PS: I've dated both Asian and white girls and have been into girls of African, Hispanic and Indian descent so I don't care about race and you don't have to be strictly Asian.
PSS: Kink friendly and I will leave it at that. If you are not exactly 'vanilla' enquire within. If that's not your thing that's cool, pretend you didn't see that.

2020.09.23 23:12 throwaway47674568 How do I help my husband heal after I hurt him? Should I explain motivations I dont even totally understand?

Context:
4 or 5 years ago I went on 4 chan and exchanged nudes with a total stranger, I didn't tell (my then boyfriend) about it for 2 years, but eventually came clean and told him I had no idea why I did it. He was upset, but we moved on from it fairly quickly and things returned to normal.
Our relationship is great, we make each other so happy our physical and spiritual relationship is so fulfilling to me. Then, two nights ago while my husband was out of town for work I used alcohol to aid me in impulsivity and masturbated with 2 strangers on the internet. It brought me no joy. and I told him as soon as he got home. I am in counseling now and have been diagnosed as bipolar 1 and having PTSD. My counselor believes that being beaten and gangraped by my step father plus other things in my childhood threw me into chaos and self hatred so heavily that I'm trying to sabotage my own very happy marriage. I seek validation from him and other people excessively but really it's something I need to find from within. I love him so deeply, but what I did showed no respect for the amazing life we've created together.
Question:
Hes processing everything, so we haven't discussed it. But he told me he wants to heal from this together. I wrote him a letter and compiled a list of things to help keep me from ever doing this again with my counselor. I dont think I should tell him the connection between hypersexuality and abuse because I dont want to make excuses for what I did. I mean it when I say I'm done creating chaos. I want to help him heal however I can, and if I cant control this he needs to leave me because he doesn't deserve this. I'm so desperate to get some insight but I dont have any figures in my life I can go to. Thank you for reading

2020.09.23 22:12 lordcaylus Volume seven discussion

Oh my God, Hamefura is just so much fun. Loved the 'new' light novel!
I'm glad the author is exploring the "life keeps following the script/fate" angle more, that Bakarina keeps getting more 'developing evil skills' flags because her character got them in game, even if they're OOC for this Katarina. Also love that the magic system is getting expanded upon instead of being just there when necessary for the plot to move along.
Geord/Jeord/Google was sweet this volume. Keith was not creepy this volume. Maria rocks, I get why she's the protagonist of Fortune Lover I & II. "She'll get stronger to defend the one she loves!"
My main issue was that the series suffers a bit from the tons and tons of characters, making you miss your favourites if they hardly show up for the narration.
And you know, don't expect a lot of character development from Bakarina :P She is and always will be the force of nature that is black hole-chan ;)
TL;DR: If you expect to read Citizen Kane, you'll be disappointed, but if you want to read Die Hard it's fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed it myself.
What'd you guys, gals and non-binairy pals think of this volume?

2020.09.23 21:51 saku-no-ki 200924 Ep 171 Saku no Ki: Beware Jacket Cover BTS, Oppa Line, Yummy Summer, Kkubi Monster, Oneiric Theater BTS, And More

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzDHGSkpK_k&feature=share
1 Beware concept photos
Sakura: Members each wear different hues of pinks & the costume designs are all different. I thought, "Costumers are truly amazing!". The costumer is different compared to our usual Japan promo so I think you'll feel a different vibe compared to before. The costumes are really beautiful & cute. Personally one of my favorites! Especially the unit photo with me, Yujin & Yena. That's my favorite one! The reason is simply because I love this member line up~ Among fans, we're called the oppa line which apparently are members who conduct themselves in a cool way. So personally, I really like how we looked gathered together like that. I recommend that unit photo!
Try pronouncing Beware everyone...BEWARE isn't it hard? Recently we've had to record lots of promo comments & it's always hard to pronounce it. But I'm a little bit better at it now after saying it so much~ Everyone, pls listen to BEWARE lots!
(Beware is) about having a person you like but cautioning yourself not to fall for them while the other party tries to woo you. Only the audio is released so you probably can't imagine the choreo but during the 'Drawing closer from behind' part, we do like a 'gao~'(lion roaring?) pose while moving closer. It's the dance point for Beware & members look so cute while doing it! So pls look forward to it while paying attention to that part!
The first song that I composed & wrote for, Yummy Summer will be in our 1st JP album! YEAY~! I was REALLY nervous when it was announced. How much can I say? It won't be interesting anymore if I say it all so just a little bit...umm, it's a good song! Though I shouldn't be saying that myself (laughs) It's a good song. It's fine if...you'd like to place your expectations on it(laughs) It's a song I've worked hard on with cooperation from many people despite the tight schedule. It really feels like a child of mine. A beloved precious daughter! So I'm really nervous for fans to listen to it. Pls anticipate lots & listen to it lots when it's out!
"What's the difference between writing lyrics from scratch & adapting one?"
Sakura: It's totally different! Yummy Summer is a song that I composed too so I know exactly the sentiments I have in mind when I wrote it so it wasn't that hard writing the lyrics. But for FIESTA, it was hard to interpret the thoughts of the person who created it. I keep wondering & comparing if my interpretation is correct. It's not like I can't go talk to him directly...so the only piece of info I had was the Korean lyrics. I keep comparing & wondering if my interpretation is correct. It's not like I can't go talk to the creator directly...so the only piece of info I had was the Korean lyrics. KR & JP expressions are a bit different. Some phrases often used in KR isn't what you'd usually use in JP lyrics. There's one of the differences. Interpreting what the original composer had in mind while writing the song was mainly the hard part. So adapting KR lyrics to JP ver is actually harder than writing lyrics from scratch! But it was my 2nd time doing it. 1st time was SSS with Nako...I can probably talk about this topic the whole day lol It's probably true for all our songs but Fiesta especially, is a really special, significant song to us. The lyrics too, all the words on it is really meaningful. I didn't want to leave anything out. Standing off against adversity cooly...it's a song which makes one feel empowered so it was hard to convey that worldview in Japanese. But the whole process is interesting. I love writing lyrics! It's like a puzzle. Finding right words that fit is pretty fun~
Beware MV was shot with a really cute vibe! #IZONE's title song MVs have always been cool, elegant or fantastical right? It's the first time that it's POP-ish & cute like this. The MV set was REALLY cute too! Members were all so lively while shooting it. Fans love the lively side of #IZONE too right? It's an MV chock-full of that cute & lively feel so you can really look forward to it! I haven't seen the finish product but from the shoot, it should be fine! Pls anticipate it!
The Monster cover caused quite a number of ripples, I'm really thankful. Eunbi-chan suggested it when it was first decided that the both of us will be together. Seems like that was the 1st thing that popped up in her mind. She said, "Wanna do Monster?"Because I respect Irene and Seulgi so much, I felt like we really have to do it justice. I distressed over it for a moment...I felt a strong urge to do it, like 5000% but thinking about 'what if I can't do it right?', it would be such a discourtesy. I really distressed over it. But I'd like to praise myself for choosing 'I want to do it' that time. Because it really took some courage. I feel like I was able to give 100% from my current self. I still have a long way to go but I think I've given my all from what I can accomplish right now. So I'm going to properly pat myself in the back this time. Eunbi-chan helped me a lot & most of all, the teachers, backdancers, these unnies helped me a lot too. With lots of help, we were able to build such a wonderful stage so I'm really grateful!
Practicing for Monster
Sakura: The Ina Bauer part where I have to bend my back & appear behind Eunbi-chan while my face changes to a monster, that's the #1 highlight of Monster right? When I started practicing for it, I was like "🙀This is impossible!" One thing to note is the height difference. In the original, Seulgi-san is a bit taller. To appear behind her like that, the person who performs Seulgi-san's part would ideally be taller. But I'm the taller one compared to Eunbi-chan! At one point, it was like, ‘Should Eunbi-chan do it alone?' since I really couldn't do it at first!😣 I looked really unsightly, like "Is this really okay??" (laughs) But I really practice A LOT for it. There was a time my back went 'oops' & I had to go to 'correct' it. It was pretty tough but after multiple practice, the performance came into shape & we were able to see it through! I really had a hard time with that part! While practicing, I'm like 'Irene-san, you're really amazing!'. And maintaining a pretty expression while in that form, she's truly amazing!

IZONE Oneiric Theater behind

Sakura: Talk about doing a concert started around April. Meetings too. It was supposed to be earlier but due to covid situation, it kept being pushed back. In the meeting, they started off by listening to our opinions! We had a different stage director from last year. He said, "Firstly, I'd like to hear about what the members would like to do". So we expressed our opinions like "Live band!" "Unit stages!" "Cover stage!", etc. He pretty much accepted everything that we wanted to do & made them possible! For Someday, the song that Yuri created, members had hoped to perform it with all 12 of us. They really listened to all our opinions! Wow, sugoi~ They let us do what we wanted so in that regards, I'm truly grateful from my heart. It must have been hard to tackle them. Going into specifics, like for Gangsta stage, members gave suggestions on the camera work & such, like "it might be cooler this way" & they listened, processed it & was like "ahh, then shall we do it like this?". The part where my face changed into a Monster was also supposed to be just my face but Yena was like "It's better to do it (with effect)". I wanted to do it too if possible, so after conveying it to them, they really included it! Almost 100% of our wishes came true so I'm really thankful! We went to greet the stage director after the concert ended & he was crying! Somehow, it really warmed my heart. The preparations started since April so the stage director has been continuously preparing for it for almost half a year. He told us that he was really touched. We are filled with gratitude for all the staff too. It gave us a really heartwarming feeling. Once again, thank you to all the staff! 1

2020.09.23 21:44 ANCAP42069 The Rise and Fall of Love Letter: My True Feelings

Part 1: The beginning of the yandere game
In late December of 2014, a man named Alex Mahan (would later be known as Yandere Dev) started work on a game called yandere simulator. Over the next few months and later years, the game would become fairly popular with many people supporting the game and many youtubers playing the pre alpha of the game. It seemed that this game could have gone on to be as popular as Fnaf as both were made by small indie developers. But then, problems would arise as Alex didn’t really know how to program. People tried helping him but he often lashed out at other people trying to code his game better. There were also constant delays with the first rival, Sana, which she was supposed to be released in sometime in 2016 but was finished in August of 2020. There were more problems such as, using funds to buy personal items instead of on the game, banning people on his discord and subreddit in mass amounts, and even doing pedophilic things like writing about child r*pe. By the time we reach 2020, the game has been being programmed for nearly 6 years and the first rival has still not come out yet and it looks like the game isn’t going to be finished any time soon. Though one person had enough, and that person is Draepis.
Part 2: The beginning and rise of Love Letter
In July of 2020, a man known as Draepis claimed that he coded Yandere Simulator in just two weeks (we now know that some of that code was from his failed game Heart Break). Many people, including I, were very impressed that this guy was able to make a game in development for almost 6 years in just two weeks. People thought he was a God send and he would be the one to make a proper yandere game. The game at the time was known as Love Sick which was supposed to be the official title of Yandere Simulator but Alex did not make that change for whatever reason. People were volunteering, Aepis and others were coding, fanart was being made and over all the game was on track to become the definitive yandere game. The game would later change its name to Love Letter: My True Feeling after Alex threw a hissy fit and claimed that Love Sick was his title. The game would even get a main character named bow chan. The yandere simulator subreddit would even be hacked and turned into an anarchy sub for a couple of days with people posting pro love letter memes. It seems that this game was on the ups and would become the definition of a true yandere game. Until it wasn’t
Part 3: The fall of Love Letter
The game would take one of its first massive blows when the creator of bow chan copyrighted the character and denied the use of her in Love Letter. This did hurt the game but they did make another main character known as Setsuna Haichi. Her first design was mediocre but the second design looked great. It seems like things were going back up for the project. But then there were some people leaving Love Letter due to possible mistreatment from the developing team. That certainly hurts but it didn’t hurt as much as the child grooming story. Most of us know it, in 2017 Draepis groomed a 10-year-old on discord and it was pretty bad. This story would surface and a lot of people did not like aepis after that story. And I mean, I can’t blame the people that were hating on him. This story also exposed some of the toxicity and hypocrisy found in the love letter community as some people were defending his actions or even victim blaming. This extremely hurts the community as Draepis had removed the comment feature on both his twitter and his YouTube videos as well as the Love Letter discord being shut down. Then, on September 23rd, 2020, Draepis made a video in which he declared Love Letter to be a cancelled project. He cited the reason for the cancellation for him being subjected to nonstop harassment and the project taking a toll on his mental health. And the game, to my knowledge, has fully stopped development and I think this is the end for Love Letter. Aepis said he is going to do a different, non-yandere game as he said in his cancellation video that yandere games are cursed.
Part 4: A message to Aepis
To the former developer of Love Letter, I hope you improve, not just as a programmer but as a human being as well. We know that you have done unforgivable actions in the past but now is time to improve from those actions as I believe that one day you can become a great programmer. I am sorry for the amount of harassment you have received from these recent events because even though you have done something terrible in the past, you did not deserve the amount of hate that you have gotten. I hope that your mental health will improve and that you will become a better person and programmer in the future.
Part 5: To every and all future Yandere game creators
We have seen the problems and drama that yandev and aepis have been through so to anyone in the future that tries to make their own Yandere game, make it a secret. Do not share your game online until a proper demo has been made. I say this because one of the main downfalls of Yansim and LL was that they got too much hype too fast when not even a proper demo or even prototype was made which helped lead to the downfall of both games. The yandere genre may be cursed but I’m sure that someone out there can make a yandere game that will break the curse.
Btw I'm posting it here because I can't post it on the official Love Letter Subreddit

2020.09.23 18:43 Kyrozis How to improve YanSim(Part 1(?)): Rivals

We all know (and loath) YanSim and all the reasons to its awfulness. But I'm here to impose my ideas for improvements, and not to rag on the whole situation.
Let's start with the obvious: If Alex wants his Hitman-Persona mashup to be a proper triple-A game, then

However, for now, I just want to talk about how the rivals should operate, including behavior, order, and how their difficulties are justified, as well as the weeks' layout in general, with some general ideas. And note: If you manage to befriend other students (including the rivals), they'd be willing to help you, even against other rivals (don't think of outlandish things, tho)

For starters, let's get the obvious out of the way: ditching Muja and Mida from the rival pool, and replacing them with more suitable ones. In this scenario, it'll be Kokona and Info-chan.

1st week: This will be the tutorial week, so there will be no rivals. Instead, you'll be taught the game mechanics and the interaction system step by step, and you'll have the chance for socialization and self-improvement. You can spend this week by trying things out as a warm up.
2nd week: Kokona - She was the perfect first rival in this game's history, so taking her out of the rival pool and ditching her entire backstory was one of YanDev's biggest mistakes in my eyes. All she has is a high school crush on Senpai, not even a big one at that. And every elimination method will be available on her, so this is when your first week's training can come to fruition at first.
3rd week: Oka - Since she's part of the occult club, she can be an easy target for Ronshaku, however, she has the entire occult club backing her up, so getting her dead would be a surefire way to face their wrath, and they will be hellbent on researching.
4th week: Amai - This is where things start to get interesting, because of Amai's kind and loving nature. Thus, while getting her killed would be the easier way out (as always), this would make the entire school's mood take a significant dip (not a gigantic, but a noticable one), and the students' and teachers' caution and suspicion would rise a little more than with the deaths of the other rivals (this could stack up with each character's death - be it rival or not - to the point where authorities WILL get involved in the school's life). Also, her behavior would make it almost impossible to get her fired by framing her, just like driving her to murder.
5th week: Asu - Since Asu won numerous awards for Akademi High, she'd have quite the reputation, that'd be a real challenge to tarnish. Plus, since she's a sportsman, a direct 1 to 1 would be just as (if not more) challenging.
6th week: Kizana - Her character and function would be one of the more significant changes, and one of the more significant part where events play into each other. While I'd keep her role as the drama club's leader (who would also have a nifty reputation, even outside the school), I'd change her character a little. More specifically, I'd make her and Kokona sisters, who are torn apart by their divorced parents, thus they're pretty affectionate towards one another. Hence, her behavior towards certain characters (including the player) would alter depending on how Kokona is (or was) treated in the school.
7th week: Osoro - While not having the positive reputation of Asu and Kizana, she'd be MUCH more capable at self defense, and because of her rash and impulsive behavior, and the deliquents, she'd be challenging to approach with a peaceful solution, pretty hard to take out by yourself, and near impossible to turn into a target of bullying.
8th week: Hanako - She would have the biggest changes as a rival, because instead of being an overly clingy little sister, she'd be more of a caring little sister who convinced her teachers to skip a class so she can investigate in Akademi High in the case of the other rivals - The idea is not mine, and I will give credits to u/KindleLily360 for this reddit post. However, I'd add two things: 1.: This kind of new rival function would render at least two elimination methods useless: character assassination and matchmaking. 2.: If you manage to opt for peaceful solutions with the previous rivals, the eight week will be spent once again, with socializing in the school, even with Hanako, since she has no reason to investigate, thus stopped being a threat before she could begin to be one.
9th week: Megami - With her bodyguards, godlike authority within the school, and with the (somewhat unwilling) student council on her side, she'd be one of (if not) the hardest rivals to approach. And her relationship with Taro would be more reminiscent of Eska's and Bolin's relationship, but actually taken seriously this time around. The more obvious elimination methods would be to either turn the student council against her (which requires you to have their trust completely), or exploit an unspoken flaw: She is just as capable at self defense as the rest of the student council, and you can somewhat incapacitate her by stealing her pepper spray before killing/kidnapping her.
10th week: Info-chan - Knowing all the elimination methods you used, having access to the school cameras, and constantly hiding in the dark, you'll be at quite the disatvantage, as approaching her in general would seem near impossible. This is where your honed skills and connections(friends who might know something about her or are quite the geniuses) would be needed the most to track her down and find her. And since she's skeevy and stubborn, you can almost never opt for a peaceful solution.
11th rival: Osana - Why is she the last one instead of Info-chan, who was near impossible to track down and take care of? Well, here's a list:

These are my first thoughts on this matter. And as a side note, while the Hitman elements will still be present, they'll have to take a backseat in the game, making it more of a social simulator with murder aspects in it. However, murdering people will still be available, and sometimes even helpful (e.g. murdering Musume for Kokona's and/or Kizana's sake). I may post about improving the other aspects of the game (such as the benefits of befriending people, the student council, etc.), and for now, I'm gladly awaiting your opinions on this matter!

Lady's and gentlemen, may I present to you the first part of a new series, Ottilie and friends: Floof pillow
Can be found here on AOE https://archiveofourown.org/works/26612755
Also posting it here so people can read it without having to go to AOE.

Floof pillow

Little-Bismarck, or as she was now called, Ottilie, yawned as she walked through the dorm. She was tired, very tired. She didn't get much sleep last night as someone, probably from the Eagle Union, decided to play a very loud movie. No matter what she did, she just couldn't get to sleep. So when morning came she was barely awake.
She had tried to find somewhere nice and quiet so she could have a nap but had so far been unsuccessful. Anywhere she found was either uncomfortable, too noisy, had too many people around, or was already occupied. So she kept moving on, trying desperately to find a comfortable place to nap.
She had no idea where she was, her eyes were just barely open, and she was on the verge of collapse as her legs and body felt heavy.
Suddenly something brushed past her face. It was fluffy and felt warm. She reached out for it and grabbed it, it was very fluffy, so she used it to find it's source, and instantly ran into what felt like a wall of fluff.
This was perfect, is felt comfortable, the surrounding area was quiet, and more importantly, there was no one about.
She walked into the wall of fluff, which quickly turned out to be several fluffy objects, like pillows covered in thick fur. She walked in amongst them and settled herself down within a mass of fluff. It was very comfortable, and quiet. The perfect place for a little nap.
As she closed her eyes, she heard a gentle humming, it was quiet and soothing, and help her to relax. Soon she drifted off to sleep, letting herself relax within the mass of floof.

Sometime later.
Bismarck walked into the Sakura Empire dorm. She was looking for Little-Bismarck. Since she didn't have much to do today, she finished work very early and now wanted to spend some time with her younger self. But she could not find her anywhere within the Ironblood dorm. So she asked around and quickly found out that she had been last seen entering the Sakura Empire dorm.
She entered one of the dorms lounges and saw Amagi sitting silently at a table, her tails resting flat on the floor.
“Amagi,” Bismarck said as she walked over “Have you-” she said before Amagi lifted a finger to her mouth. Moments later she lifted one of her tails, and Bismarck's heart skipped a beat, as sleeping amongst the battlecruiser's fluffy tails was Ottilie.
Bismarck squealed with delight at the sight of her younger self sleeping so peacefully amongst Amagi's tails. The sight was very cute, but it also made her feel rather jealous, as she didn't have fluffy tails that Ottilie could sleep amongst.
“She looked so tired when she walked in,” Amagi said quietly, her voice was almost a whisper “So I enticed her over with my tails, and offered her a nice spot to nap. She's so cute when she's asleep”.
“She is, isn't she” Bismarck agreed, speaking quietly as she walked over “But why didn't you call me about her?. I was worried sick,” she asked sounding very concerned.
“I'm sorry, but I didn't have my phone on me” Amagi replied, “Plus you are the first person to walk in here since she arrived. I dare not call out for someone, least I wake your younger self”.
Bismarck nodded as she sat down next to Amagi “You seem to be good with kids” she said.
Amagi smiled “Well, what can I say, they just can't resist the floof” she said, “Makes me almost wish there was a child version of myself. Almost wish, I've got enough on my plate with both Kaga-chan and Akagi-chan”.
“Well, I should leave you be. I don't want to disturb Little-Bismarck” Bismarck said as she stood back up “Is there anything I can get you?” she asked.
“Some tea would be nice” Amagi replied.
Bismarck nodded before she walks away. She wasn't the best with making tea, but she knew a lot of people who were. Finding one wouldn't be a problem.
Amagi simply smiled as Bismarck left, waiting for her to leave before she looked back at her tails. Ottilie was still sleeping peacefully amongst them. She then lifted up another one of her tails, revealing a sleeping Kaga-chan and Akagi-chan. The three children were sleeping so far apart that none of them knew that they were sharing her tails.
She smiled as she lowered her tails back down. She loved having the little one's sleeping amongst her tails, it almost made her wish she was young enough to do the same. But alas, she came into this world as an adult, so she never had a childhood.
Well, at least they could enjoy what she could never have. And she would make sure that their childhood was a good one.

2020.09.23 06:28 kwpluckett Kwpluckett #87.5: Drunken Master (1978)

IMDB
Challenge started: 5/18/2020 Date Watched: 9/22/2020 Runtime: 1h51m Rating: Not Rated Watched on: DVD Rotten Tomatoes: 79 Imdb rating: 7.5 Genre: Action/Comedy Directed by: Yuen Woo-ping
Google synopsis:
The Original Kung Fu Comedy! Wong Fei-Hung (Jackie Chan) stars as the mischievous young son of a martial arts school master who is constantly clowning around when he should be learning kung fu. After his comic antics injure the son of a powerful local man, his father enlists the help of his sadistic uncle to teach his son a little self-discipline. This strange man, who has a reputation for crippling his students, tries to teach Fei-Hung a bizarre style of kung fu. At first, Fei-Hung resists...
My thoughts:
I loved this movie as a kid, and I still do. Jackie Chan gives a fantastically comedic and energetic performance as the hapless Fei-Hung.
All of the fight sequences are really entertaining, and combine genuinely comedic elements with highly stylized technique and disciplined precision. (Classic Jackie Chan.) This is particularly enjoyable once he learns the style of the 8 drunken gods and leads up to the climax fight. (It's epic.)
The audio is strange to me in that it keeps going back and forth between the original Chinese audio and an english dub. (Probably just my dvd...)
Anyways, this movie is great. Watch it if you're a fan of kung fu/ Jackie Chan. I'll give Drunken Master a 4 out of 5.
**I'm giving this a 0.5 view count as I've seen it before.

2020.09.23 02:35 dvd5671 [OC] The Full Butterfly Effect of the Carmelo Anthony Nuggets/Knicks/Timberwolves Trade

One day a couple of months ago, I was on Instagram and saw a picture of that showed the full effects of the Kyrie Irving to the Celtics trade. I was really fascinated by it and tried to find others like it, but was unsuccessful. So, I made one myself. I decided to go ahead and try the Carmelo Anthony Nuggets to Knicks trade. I chose this specific trade because it had an absurd 19 people involved in it and almost all of them ended up getting traded as well. So it made for a lot of future spirals into NBA history. So, after about a week of research, I present to you The Full Butterfly Effect of the Carmelo Anthony Nuggets/Knicks/Timberwolves Trade:

The Official Trade:
On February 22, 2011, a 3-way deal between the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and Minnesota Timberwolves occurred that sent superstar Carmelo Anthony to Denver. This is the official breakdown of that initial trade:
(*) = Eventually Traded Away
New York Knicks Denver Nuggets Minnesota Timberwolves
Carmelo Anthony* Danilo Gallinari* 2015 2nd Rounder (Richaun Holmes)*
Chauncey Billups^ Timofey Mozgov* Eddy Curry
Renaldo Balkman^ Wilson Chandler* Anthony Randolph
Corey Brewer^ Raymond Felton*
Shelden Williams Kosta Koufos*
Anthony Carter 2012 2nd Rounder (Quincy Miller)
2016 1st Rounder (Jakob Poeltl)* 2013 2nd Rounder (Romero Osby)*
2014 1st Rounder (Dario Saric)*
2016 1st Rounder (Jamal Murray)
On the Knicks' perspective, Billups, Brewer, and Balkman were each eventually waived. Williams left after the season, and Melo and the pick that led to Jakob were eventually traded off. From the Nuggets' side, everything in that trade package was traded away except the picks for Miller and thankfully Murray. And for Minnesota, nothing they received last with them after that season. This trade ended up resulting in 10 further trades. I then looked at the results from THOSE trades, and the trades that resulted from THOSE trades, and so on. This single trade in 2011 led to 168 future trades, involving 470 different players/draft picks. Some of them led to small trades (Eric Paschall to the Warriors for a future pick and cash), and some led to blockbusters (AD to LA, ironically Kyrie to Boston, K-Love to Cleveland). But here's all of it:

The Full Trade Results:

I think the craziest part about this trade is that it occurred a little bit under a decade ago, but is still going on and most likely will be for a long time. There's a trade included here going all the way to 2026. Let me know what you observed from this and who you thought won this trade or even if you want me to do more of these.
Here's the document I wrote with the details of each trade: Document

2020.09.23 01:44 Astrotin Trans man characters in comics/tv-shows, whatever?

Anyone knows a comic, manga, anime, tv show, whatever with a trans man in it?
I just read wondering son because I was told one was a trans man but I don't really think they are a trans man but a cis girl because of the end. I want to read/watch a trans man being there and being part of the story. And him being a solid trans character, not to have a reason completely unrelated to being trans as the reason of being trans (like in tokyo ghoul, because the reason for him being trans was the abuse he received)
I just want to see myself somewhere, because I read "Sakura chan to Amane kun" and there is a clear trans man (for some reason people call him a tomboy girl or a reverse trap, I hate that so much literally says I want people to see me as a man) and someone who seems to be a trans girl, but is questioning their gender. The point is I really loved it and now I need to fill the void and rant about it.
So anyone knows anything? I'm still kind of new to reddit and my English is weird :/ sorry

FAQ

How The Chart Works:

These charts are created based on how frequently each song appears in the top 10 songs/albums for all of the users signed up for the chart. If the song or album occupies that user's #1 spot in their individual chart, it receives 15 points, then 14 points for #2, so on and so forth until 6 points for #10. If there is a tie, which is a common occurrence, then the number of points is averaged across those positions, e.g. if two songs are tied for #1, both will receive 14.5 points. Oftentimes there will be multiple songs tied for the last place, in which case the number of points each song receives decreases until it bottoms out at 1 point each.

2020.09.22 16:16 ReelStats These are the statistical top 500 movies of all time, according to 23 different websites

Hey everyone, great to be back again. Some of you might remember a similar title from a post I made back in April, where I made a list of the top 250 movies with 13 sources, or a preview of this list I made last month.
I want to emphasize that this is NOT an official ranking nor my personal ranking; it is just a statistical and, personally, interesting look at 500 amazing movies. These rankings reflect the opinions of thousands of critics and millions of people around the world. And I am glad that this list is able to cover a wide range of genres, decades, and countries. So before I get bombarded with "Why isn't X on here?" or "How is X above Y?" comments, I wanted to clear that up.
I sourced my data from Sight & Sound (both critic and director lists), TSPDT, iCheckMovies, 11 domestic websites (Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, IMDb, Letterboxd, TMDb, Trakt, Blu-Ray, MovieLens, RateYourMusic, Criticker, and Critics Choice), and 9 international audience sites (FilmAffinity, Douban, Naver, MUBI, Filmweb, Kinopoisk, CSFD, Moviemeter, and Senscritique). This balance of domestic/international ratings made the list more well-rounded and internationally representative (sites from Spain, China, Korea, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, and France).
As for my algorithm, I weighted websites according to both their Alexa ranking and their number of votes compared to other sites. For example, since The Godfather has hundreds of thousands of votes on Letterboxd but only a couple thousand on Metacritic, Letterboxd would be weighted more heavily. After obtaining the weighted averages, I then added the movie's iCheckMovies' favs/checks ratio and TSPDT ranking, if applicable. Regarding TSPDT, I included the top 2000 movies; as an example of my calculations, Rear Window's ranking of #41 would add (2000-41)/2000=0.9795 points to its weighted average. I removed movies that had <7-8K votes on IMDb, as these mostly had low ratings and numbers of votes across different sites as well. For both Sight & Sound lists, I added between 0.5 and 1 point to a movie's score based on its ranking, which I thought was an adequate reflection of how difficult it is to be included on these lists. As examples, a #21 movie would have 0.9 points added while a #63 would have 0.69 points.

2020.09.22 08:41 KaiTsu12 [BAHASA] Diari Murid SG 20200920 Neo

Diari Murid SG 20200920 Neo
Judul: Sa-o-ku-o-ra-o-Ganbaruzo! O~♪
Semuanya 😊 Hello! Dengan Murid kelas 2 SMP Sato Neo 💙
Jika kalian menyaksikan "The Rood to Graduation 2019 Final, the Sakura Gakuin Graduation" pada tanggal 30 Agustus, terima kasih BANYAK! [Note: Yes, Neo menulis "Rood"]
・My Graduation Toss
・Mezase! Super Lady
・FLY AWAY
・#Aoharu Hakusho
・Monochrome
・Crossroad
・Mikansei Silhouette
・Jump up
・The Ceremony
・Tabidachi no Hi ni
・Yume ni Mukatte
Kami membawakan 4 lagu untuk pertama kalinya ditahun ini: Monochrome, Crossroads, Jump up dan Tabidachi no Hi ni! Bagaimana menurut kalian?
Ekspresinya sangat luar biasa 💙
Ini mutlak, "My Identity"!!
Juga: Fairy Tale, My Road, I.J.I, Heart no Hoshii, Sleep Wonder, Melodic Solfege, Song for Smiling, Planet Episode 008 dan Gokigen Mr. Toropikarori.
"Sa-o-ku-o-ra-o-Ganbaruzo! O~♪" 😊
Terima kasih telah membaca keseluruhannya hingga akhir 😊
Kano-chan❤️Soyo-chan❤️Tsugu-chan❤️Momoe-chan
Selamat atas kelulusan kalian!
Aku mencintai💗 kalian semua~❤️

2020.09.22 08:38 Maxiwily Unpopular opinion: Eri wasn't a tsundere, Harima actually was

I see a lot of hate to Eri from the fandom about how she was such an ass to Harima, but after re-reading the manga I can imagine why. Harima misjudged her so badly because of her economic position in the first place. He misjudged her at such a point that he though she kicked him because he is poor lol. I mean, most of the time she tried to get closer to him and socialize. This happens as early as the first umbrella scene where after that she tries to learn how to cook curry with Tenma. Come to think of it, Eri always tried to treat Harima nicely and Harima treated her like ass and with an ocassionally soft side when she was in trouble or in unfavorable position. This is exactly why she get's jealous and has fights even with her friends. She saw how Harima treated the other girls and how they all got closer to him and she just couldn't even with the jacket she sew, the cap save in the horse battle, the christmas tree, the time the went to the oysters, the time she saved his ass of being a slave to a fancy restaurant, the choccolate on valentine's day, the shrine confession etc. She never was a bad person, Harima and his tsundere attitude towards her made us believe otherwise. This goes as far as to the end of the Manga when she just got heartbroken hearing what Harima thought of her, citing her own words " You out of all people has no right to say that". She just tried to get closer to him but all he did was to threw her off a cliff...literally lol. It is just sad about how many people misjudge her exactly as Harima does and demeanor her development as a character when they catalogue her as a typical tsundere when she was the one character that through the series had to face with the most dilemas and problems, like: self-sacrifice for the family, love or friends, Pride vs modesty, redemption etc. Heck if someone loved as hard as Harima or even more ir has to be Eri chan she just went through a lot.

2020.09.22 08:27 preciouspuppies My dog died tonight

Jackson, I love you so much. I wish I could give you another belly rub. Just hours before you passed away, you were laying at my feet, wagging your tail waiting for me to give you a belly rub while I was working at my desk. I should have paid more attention to you. I miss you so much. You’re the only thing that made life worth living for me. Seeing your beautiful, smiling face brightened my day instantly, no matter how bad it was. I miss you forever and ever. Here is a poem that I have saved in my notes. Every time I would read it, it would make me cry because it made me think of how I would feel when you passed. Now, I needed to read this more than ever:
Friend, we hear your grief. I will be thinking of you. I’m so sorry for your loss.
I walk with you
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, “It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.” I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care. I want to reassure you, that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said “it’s me.”
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew … in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over and I smile and watch you yawning and say “goodnight, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out. then come home to be with me.
Author unknown
I love you, my Jackie Chan. We all miss you, and I know that you’ll be waiting for me on the other side.
